Title: Sr. Developer (ASP .Net)

Location: 100% Remote

Shift: Flexible – Can choose Either 1:30 PM to 10 PM or 9 PM to 5 AM (IST)

Job Type: Contract for 4 Months Extended up to 12 Months based on Performance

Role: We are seeking an experienced ASP and .NET Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in managing security remediations across web applications. This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to address security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform code reviews and security assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities in our ASP and .NET applications.
• Develop and implement secure coding practices, following industry standards and best practices (e.g., OWASP, SANS Top 25).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security analysts and subject matter experts, to understand and prioritize security risks and remediation efforts.
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, data encryption, input validation, and other security controls.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of secure APIs and web services.
• Participate in the testing and deployment of security patches and updates, ensuring compatibility and minimizing disruptions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques specific to ASP and .NET frameworks.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on secure coding practices and security-related issues.
• Document security procedures, guidelines, and technical solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining ASP and .NET web applications.
• Strong understanding of web application security principles, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and encryption.
• Experience with secure coding practices and industry standards (e.g., OWASP, SANS Top 25).
• Proficiency in VBScript, C#, ASP Classic (MVC, Web Forms), SQL and .NET Framework/Core.
• Experience with SQL Server and database security best practices.
• Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and security protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• Knowledge of Kendo UI or similar UI frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of GITHub / BitBucket or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex security issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, secure code.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the security and integrity of our web applications and .NET systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, while contributing to the development and maintenance of secure and reliable applications.  This position will be reporting to the Director of Correspondent Technology.
